    A Story of Success Spanning Decades

    Founding FlavourTech was founded in 1992 by AH Merhi, a seasoned industrialist and manufacturer. The company was born out of a vision to fill a gap in the market for high-quality drink mix crystals. With only one brand available in a single flavour, the founder saw an opportunity to improve both the quality and the range of flavours available to consumers.

    Early Challenges Like all startups, FlavourTech faced its fair share of challenges in the early years. Changing consumer habits and breaking into the market was a daunting task. However, with perseverance, a relentless focus on quality, and a competitive spirit, the company managed to establish itself in the industry.

    First Products FlavourTech’s journey began with the production of drink mixes in pouches, a concept that was almost 20 years ahead of its time. After reformatting the products into 900g tins, the company made its first shipment to Dubai, marking its entry into the global market.

    Growth Over the years, FlavourTech has seen steady and persistent growth. From a small 100sqm factory warehouse in 1992, the company has grown into a sprawling 25,000sqm facility. In 2000, the company moved into a new plant, and in 2008, it built a custom-made plant. In 2012, a new plant was built in Tunisia for the production of noodles, and in 2015, the company expanded into Turkey with a new plant for seasoning cubes, soups, and other seasoning mixes.

    Innovation Innovation is in FlavourTech’s DNA. The company has patented a number of products and is always looking for ways to improve and create new flavours. Curiosity drives the company to research and test new, sustainable methods of production.

    Sustainability FlavourTech is committed to sustainability. The company sources locally whenever possible and recycles all paper packaging material for single-use products.

    Recognition FlavourTech’s commitment to quality has been recognized with BRC, IFS, and FSMA certifications, which the company received in 2014, 2018, and 2020 respectively.
